Things I have managed to do so far this week:

-- See Where the Wild Things Are and bawl like a baby
-- Catch a case of the lurgy that I'm still not 100% free of... stupid chinese place
-- Start playing WoW again after getting tremendously sick of Aion's lagging and getting intel about some of the grind-tastic mind-numbing grinding in the later levels (hey, I played the free month at least)
-- Start a draenai paladin on a new server, just for kicks (and 'cause pallies aren't the trainwreck warriors still are)
-- Write a decent draft of the paper I have to have for class and send it to my awesome helpful librarian to take a look at it
-- Get the paperwork turned in for ~*~moving~*~
-- Get bus tickets to New York on 12/12 for me and The Girl
-- Order a pretty wreath to support some helpful teenagers and their music program (I've been getting one every year, and the things last from early December pretty well into January, so it's worth it!)

Things I still need to do in the near future:

-- Finish catching up with work since the lurgy put me a little behind
-- Get cash to buy that pie I ordered from those helpful teenagers
-- Clean the apartment for the pre-moving inspection
-- Get more sicky food D:
-- Get another underbed storage box to keep the terrorist cat from climbing into the box spring in the future (he managed to rip a hole in the bottom and I'd rather he not rip another one.. and I can always use more boxes at this point)
-- Get boxes so I can pack AUGH
-- See Astro Boy and hope that it's going to be as cute as the trailer suggests
-- Finish class in two weeks ZOMG FINALLY

Today's Accomplishments:

-- Did laundry.
-- Tried out some OxyClean and bleached out some whites that were looking a bit yellow. In the load with colors. I am impressed.
-- Watched Princess Princess as part of my ongoing efforts to finally get around to watching/reading the anime/manga I've been collecting over the last year or so.
-- Took care of the cat. Miso is almost through with getting ear drops. Yay.

My life is a little on the boring side right now. The weather has actually be gorgeously cool lately. It's been too cool to really go swimming, but on the other hand I'm kind of praying it holds out this cool for the convention. Or if not this cool at least this dry. It's been a nicely non-humid summer so far. (Of course, we don't get into the really doggy days until closer to August anyway.)

I've been trying to think of what I want for my birthday. So far just cake, though I'm not sure what kind yet. (I kind of have a yen for carrot cake. Ooooh, or maybe red velvet? I ought to get some red velvet cake mix and give it a try! I have the cream cheese icing!) Maybe go out for crabs, since I went last year with The Girl and it was fun if expensive. I'll probably get a lot of the random crap that I want at the convention this year, and I'm paying my own way for that, and everything's tight anyway for most of the people I know, so I can't really think of anything.

I stocked up on pocky at Target yesterday (they sell the two-pack chocolate pocky for $2.99 and every so often I stock up since that's the cheapest I've seen it outside of Wegman's, and even then Wegman's isn't that much cheaper and the closest one to me is a 45 minute drive) and got a couple of boxes. With any luck I'll actually get around to packing them with books and getting my bookcases reorganized so I have room for books again! Especially since I will probably have an armload of manga. (I keep telling myself this so I remember to do it.)

Unless I get any bolts of inspiration from the blue, I'll probably be quiet until after Otakon. Then there will be con report. I might even go all out with pictures this time! Since I switched to Flickr I've not done nearly as many embedded images!

I am mysteriously drug out today. I suspect it might be the rain. And possibly the last chores I need to get done in the next couple of weeks before I finally get my much-needed break. I've been pretty near mentally done this week. :|

Things I've Done:

-- Reimbursement stuff finished and in the courier
-- Started checkout. Three signatures so far.
-- Started packing up the office finally. I have one set of cabinets before I'm down to the bookshelves and the desk. Have tossed a metric ton of paper and will probably toss more.
-- Checked weather for DC trip-- partly cloudy with a high of 77 in Baltimore so a few degrees warmer in DC. Depending on what it does tomorrow it ought to be a nice day.
-- Ate cereal. Yum cereal. I was kind of craving it.
-- Rugs got vacuumed!
-- Saw UP. Bawled like a baby. Would see it again.

Stuff to Do:
-- Finish packing office
-- Finish final paperwork (I'll probably stay late tomorrow since lostangelssong had to cancel on our old plan to hang out Friday. Stupid obligatory family events.)
-- Dishes! Some More!
-- Laundry!
-- Watch that copy of the Dune miniseries so I can give it back
-- ZOMG SLEEP

Things Done Today:

-- Yats is now Arms due to need for change. Am still clumsy as hell with rotation and already doing ~400 dps better. It's kind of fun and interesting.
-- Went to Target for cat treats. Also ended up with photo album, cereal, star crunch, and cards for upcoming card holidays.
-- LOBSTER lol

Things to Do:

-- Reimbursement/credit/whatever forms (including possible transcript requests) Forms get, transcript request made!
-- Finish paperwork for year (wtf how did we get two weeks left?)
-- ARGLEBARGLE PACK BOXES WTF (Realistically, this will probably not be completed until the 15th, so inquire about how keys/checkout will work)
-- Dishes
-- De-cat-fluff rug
-- Laundry card and laundry
-- Possibly see UP if I do not shanghai lostangelssong with helping with at least some of the to do list
-- STRAWBERRY PANDAS FOREVER
-- Watch Dune and read the novel again

Things I've done today:

-- Gotten grades for the grad course. I got an A~! I now have a 4.0 average!
-- Went grocery shopping due to extreme lack of stuff I don't have to cook. Got stuff for Friday.
-- Attacked mountain of OMGdishes. There are still some cups and a cookie sheet left, but I ran out of room in the drying rack!
-- Worked on the plan for the DC Field Trip on the 6th. Can't wait!

All right, it doesn't look like much, but I'm happy with it.

1. Finished with homework for the moment. I shall unfortunately need to do a powerpoint presentation and some editing before I am completely done with graduate school stuff for the semester. If all goes according to plan, I'll have an A to boot. :D

2. Out of leftover roast from dinner last night. Boo. I am contemplating making something with the frozen shrimp in the freezer tomorrow. Possibly something with pasta since I also got myself bow tie pasta on a whim.

3. Still sad about the warrior nerf. And I would really like to get back into the rotation for 25-Naxx since there are Valor Emblems and/or tokens I need to finished upgrading a bit more of my gear before I'll be happy going into Uldaur.

4. Also back on my baby undead mage, who I rolled after hearing about the fury nerf before abandoning it to enjoy my last hurrah before the Titan's Grip damage tax went live. I've gone from averaging something close to 2500 dps back down to 2100 on Yats and I am pissed. D: (Admittedly, I am not completely kitted out so that's not bad for still dragging around in a couple old blues, but STILL. GRAWR.)

5. Obviously still nerd raging about the fury nerf. I coulda been a contenda.

6. Awaiting delivery on my new wig for my Phoenix Wright costume. (Old wig is in this pic from the last time I cosplayed Phoenix at Otakon 2007. The Girl was Godot, btw.) The old wig really isn't full enough to get the sort of spikes I'm looking for, and the new one looks like it'll be more fun. I also ordered new wig caps since heck if I know where the old one went. This year's Phoenix will be the cheapest cosplay EVAR since I'm just re-doing the wig this year. XD

7. Going to have to practice tying ties again, since I'll have to keep track of both Phoenix AND Godot's neckwear. But ties are damn sexy, so it's okay.

8. Craving donuts. The awesome kind you select carefully off the shelf in the case, not the mass-produced ones in the flimsy cardboard boxes. I also still need to pirate me a wifi signal in order to update my DSi's operating system, so I might go find myself donuts and a hotspot tomorrow.
