It's 2 AM and I feel the need to journal spam.

The part of me that is twelve and has ADD wants to RP Seimei (Onmiyoji canon with maybe a little folklore and possible PSOH thrown in because for some reason Sofu D and Seimei are ALWAYS SNARKING EACH OTHER) in journal RP.

The sensible part of me points out repeatedly that I want to get a damn dragon for Yats and that requires hours of running heroics. So I don't have any free time for journal RP since the free time I have is for WoW.

In other news, I hate heroic Halls of Stone with the burning passion of a million suns and I'm at the point where I don't want to do it without a pally tanking. Both times we've run it with prot warriors and while they were great all the rest of the time that damn Tribunal of Ages keeps kicking out asses because stuff is always breaking loose and killing us all. Not to mention the LAZERS.

I have also completed my first book of 2009: Zombies vs Robots Complete by Chris Ryall and Ashley Wood. It's a graphic novel and I'm mostly sure Wood at least did Tank Girl. I have to find my Tank Girl trade and check to be sure.

It's crack. A real review will come later today after I've had some sleep.

Boring week = FAIL

I'm enrolled in my first grad course. Go me. I managed to snag a spot in the online version of the course I wanted, so I DON'T have to commute anywhere and it should be flexible enough that if things go flooey at work (as they tend to do in April-May) it shouldn't kill me too bad. I will probably STILL be saying no to people more often, but it's much nicer than having to commute a couple hours on top of taking a course on top of working full time. And I don't get the bill until January something, so that's good too.

Christmas shopping is done unless some miracle thing strikes and I have to pick something up for someone. I still need to wrap stuff. I was thinking about sitting down and doing that tomorrow sometime. I honestly can't believe how close to Christmas it actually is. Even though my tree is up and everything I still can't believe it. Probably because I've been up to my eyebrows in everything else.

No new cooking adventures. Due to tiredness and laziness it's been leftovers, takeout (and leftovers from that), and a frozen pizza.. and I have leftovers from that too. (I think I've just not been too interested in eating this week?) I'll probably try to finish the chili and freeze the rest and then make teriyaki chicken, since I have the stuff to make it from scratch. Either that or french onion soup.

My toon on WoW dinged 80 tonight after a fun Halls of Lightning run. Loken is not nearly as hard as everyone was making him out to be. I want to at least make it to entry-level raiding and get me a pretty dragon or two, so I'll still be busy on WoW. Except now I'll be making a lot more gold than before.. I suppose if I ever get bored of my warrior I'll finally get around to rolling a death knight. XD

Day 2 of Wrath:

Powerleveled Engineering from 1 to 365. Dropped skinning to do this. Am down about 3k gold due to speedy leveling and buying up a lot of other plans.

Gained Grand Master level in every skill Yats has. Naturally nowhere near mastering any of them completely.

Went to Borean Tundra. Made friends with some Walruses. Garrosh is still a twit. I remember back in the day when he was a spineless, apathetic emo brat. Too bad there's no option to tell him off for calling you a chicken. Overcompensation much?

I'm about 75% of the way through level 70. Probably would have dinged already but I spend yesterday and a good chunk of today on Engineering.

I need to make a Deepdive Helmet for the 3597345871435 quests so far that want you to go do something while submerged. WTB 3 Tigerseye. Send to Yatsumi on Moon Guard!

WTB facepulling Shadowpriest to screw around with in Northrend. :D

ZOMG the new patch has landed in WoW and the servers are still borked about 16 hours after they started.

On the plus side, I did actually get to log in on Yats for about five minutes before the borking was just too bad to handle. I guess it means no WoW for me until tomorrow.

The new loading screens and opening screen are sexy. I know, I got to see them eighty times waiting to try and get into my server. Boo for having a borked-up high-pop crazy people server, anyway.

In other news, I tried out doing bento in a single-tier box. Nothing fancy, just a Sterilite Lock-and-lock type box, 700 ml and microwave/freezer/dishwasher safe. It has steak stromboli in it since I was too lazy to cook and didn't quite know what the minimum charge was for delivery, so I ended up ordering pepperoni (dinner) and steak (lunch). I still have most of the steak one left, it might be dinner tomorrow unless I actually work up the motivation to make a big mess cooking tonkatsu like I've been meaning to do. I'm also trying to eat the concord grapes I got on a whim. They're really tasty but a bit weird to eat and I don't think I like the texture of them. They're pretty with the pomegranate scattered in there.

I also got a twitter. For all the stupid things that cross my mind that aren't really worth writing whole journal entries about. Don't look at it. It's full of whining about WoW and IJ being down the other day and just nonsense. Pure nonsense.

I have a couple books of Rumi's poetry now, the translations by Coleman Barks. I think I'm in love. I'm going to the American Visionary Arts Museum on Friday with Chellemi (it's a date. :D) and I'm hoping they still have some of his books in stock from last year's big exhibit. Because it's that worth it. This year's big exhibit is supposed to be sciencey, which means I will probably love it being a science geek and all. :D

I am taking tomorrow off. I am not sorry. :|

If you will excuse me, I am going off to sleep and hopefully start feeling better before I snap from the stress/tiredness.

On the other hand, I did read two (short) books today. Both of which were for work, but still

From [info]warcraft:

Apparently the popular WoW database sites have been compromised with keyloggers. If you're going to venture there, be running NoScript within Firefox. (It's in the default list of extensions but you have to turn it on.)

Blizz development has launched their own database site to make up the lack, wowdigger.
